I was in Toronto this past weekend to received an award for my Master's thesis from the Language and Literacy Researchers of Canada. I had the opportunity to present my work to a generous group of scholars after the LLRC AGM alongside the French language winner of the award.
It was exciting to engage with the research once again and rejig my presentation just over a year after my defence. It was awesome networking with other researchers and engaging with their research. I even found a few collaborators for future projects and articles.
Special thanks to my advisor Dr. Jennifer Watt, who came to the conference to support me.

That’s an impressive initiative by LLRC to encourage academic research and innovation. Recognizing talented researchers not only boosts morale but also drives meaningful progress in the field. For those looking to advance their professional journey outside academia, reliable staffing solutions Surrey can help connect skilled individuals with the right opportunities.
